Sucre Holidays

south & central america
Known as Bolivia's 'White City' due to the many whitewashed buildings in its colonial centre, this UNESCO World Heritage Site is the symbolic heart of the nation. The official capital city of Bolivia, this charming city is well worth a few days exploration to explore the streets that are alive with colourful markets, musicians and traditionally dressed Aymara women. If you are in Sucre on a Sunday, the traditional and authentic Tarabuco Market, located a few hours out of the city is an incredible opportunity to see where the mountain communities gather to sell their homemade goods and socialise.

Aside from colonial beauty, Sucre is also home to the largest collection of dinosaur footprints in the world! Over 5,000 dinosaur prints were remarkably discovered by chance in the 1990's, and the area is now home to the Sucre Dinosaur Park.

From Sucre, travel through Potosi, famous for its silver mining to reach the Uyuni Salt Flats.
