Lake Titicaca Holidays

south & central america
A shimmering deep blue lake, surrounded by mountains and dotted with tiny islands, Lake Titicaca is breathtaking. Set high in the Andes, straddling the borders of Peru and Bolivia, this is the largest lake in South America.

Learn about the local indigenous cultures of Peru’s Taquile and Uros Islands, and how communities live on these small floating islands. Many of the hotels are located in Puno, a city that lies on the Peruvian banks of the lake.

Lake Titicaca can easily be combined with other popular regions in Peru, connected either by road or by rail. The luxurious Belmond Andean Explorer train, the only high-end sleeper service in South America connects Puno with Arequipa and Cusco, while the elegant Perurail Titicaca train offers a day journey from Arequipa to Lake Titicaca.
