South Korea Holidays

asia
South Korea holidays offer a captivating blend of old and new – this is a country where towering skyscrapers and the latest technology sit side by side with historic monuments and traditional cultures.

Start your South Korea holiday in its modern capital, Seoul, with a bustling shopping and entertainment scene as well as traditional markets and historic palaces. It’s a stark contrast to Gyeongju, ‘The Museum without Walls’. Once the capital of the Shilla Kingdom and home to no less than three World Heritage sites, this lesser-known area of South Korea is surrounded by beautiful mountain scenery, dazzling temples and ancient landmarks.

To the north of South Korea lies the DMZ, a two mile wide strip of no man’s land. This is the buffer zone between South Korea and North Korea, and provides a fascinating insight into one of the last remnants of the Cold War. Further south, South Korea’s second largest city, Busan, is a port town boasting glistening beaches, steaming hot springs and delicious seafood with casual tent bars and chic designer cafes.

Trailfinders offers a range of South Korea holidays and our expert travel consultants are a mine of information about what to do here, often with first-hand travel experience. Whether you want to explore South Korea on a sociable guided group tour or a city break or stopover – they are the perfect people to ask.
