Santiago & the Winelands Holidays

south & central america
Santiago, Chile’s cosmopolitan and energetic capital city is comprised of many contrasting and dynamic neighbourhoods with a dramatic backdrop of the snow-capped Andes Mountains. Wander the city’s streets and discover art galleries, museums and world class restaurants.

At the heart of the city in the downtown area is the Plaza de Armas, a picturesque leafy square bordered by historic buildings. The surrounding neighbourhoods include arty Lastarria with European style architecture and upmarket Providencia which offers a fantastic selection of restaurants. Be sure to spend a few days enjoying the diverse capital of Chile.

In the countryside south of Santiago, lies the rolling hills of vast vineyards and world-class wineries. Sip delicious Chilean wine amongst stunning surroundings while enjoying views of the vineyards and distant mountain peaks. Spend a few days relaxing and wine tasting in this beautiful region, or visit a couple of wineries on a day trip from Santiago. The most well-known region is the Colchagua Valley, often referred to as the Napa Valley of South America and famous for its red wine production. The Maipo Valley is the closest wine region to Santiago, so ideal if you are visiting for the day or one night.
