OUR RECOMMENDED HOTELS & RIADS IN MOROCCO
What you won’t find here are thousands of Morocco hotels to wade through. We have done the hard work for you and selected the best places to stay and our travel consultants are on hand to help, often with first-hand experience.
Hotels vs Riads
Morocco is the only country in the world which offers authentic riad stays. Traditionally, these tall narrow buildings play host to multi-generational families and feature an interior courtyard housing a fountain and some greenery. These days many have been transformed into beautiful guesthouses offering an authentic Moroccan experience and are located inside the medina (old town) walls.
They vary in size and style – from 4 to 20 rooms, from traditional to modern and from family-run to part of a wider group. Typically, they serve some of the best food in the city and are the perfect choice for those seeking a peaceful retreat from the bustling city streets and a glimpse into Moroccan daily life in years gone by.

Morocco Top Tips From Our Travel Experts
Andy Ferguson
The High Atlas Mountains have amazing scenery for anyone that loves the off the beaten track feeling. It's very remote whilst still being about 45 minutes to the city of Marrakech. We saw local shepherds and goat farmers on the mountains whilst we were out on our hike!
Sarika Ambasna
Marrakech is a melting pot of culture, hustle and bustle and calm in equal measures. Take a trip through the old town to visit local hamanns, purchase exotic spices or eat copious amounts of tagine. Take the opportunity to stay in a local riad to experience a quieter side of the city in the centre of town, or take a trip to the Atlas Mountains if you want to venture a little further afield.
Sarah Szyszkiewicz
I loved Essaouira as a perfect relaxing couple of days at the end of a Morocco holiday. A small town, painted blue and white with an endless array of restaurants, roof top cafes, boutiques shops, stray alley cats and a wide, windswept beach.
