The best time to visit Indonesia is generally between April and September when the weather is dry and there is plenty of sunshine.

Indonesia enjoys hot temperatures throughout the year but you can expect intermittent showers between November and March which are usually the wettest months.

Currency: Indonesian Rupiah (IDR). ATM's are available in towns and many hotels and restaurants accept credit/debit cards

Tipping: Tipping in Indonesia is customary but not mandatory. A tip of around 10% for service staff is usually sufficient

Language: The national language of Indonesia is Indonesian, and English is widely spoken
