Jordan Holidays

the middle east
Jordan holidays promise an adventure, blessed with remarkable natural and man-made wonders, fascinating ancient ruins, beautiful landscapes and spectacular coral reefs.

Close to Jordan's bustling capital of Amman lies Jerash, with its preserved Roman amphitheaters and colonnaded avenues, but no visit is complete without a visit to the Rose Red City of Petra.

Wadi Rum may well be Jordan’s best kept secret with its spectacular desert scenery and starry night sky, but if the only sand you plan to walk on is by the ocean, Aqaba is sure to impress, with exceptional Red Sea diving spots and luxurious hotels. Maybe you’d also like to bathe in the mineral rich waters of the Dead Sea.

Trailfinders offers a range of Jordan holidays and our expert travel consultants are a mine of information about what to do here, often with first-hand travel experience. Whether you want to explore the origins of Petra on a private tour, join a guided small group adventure through the vast sands of Wadi Rum or perhaps cycle or walk the trails of the Nabateans - they are the perfect people to ask.

WHEN IS THE BEST TIME TO VISIT JORDAN?

The best time to visit Jordan is in spring (March to June) and autumn (September to November) when the weather is warm during the day with a cool breeze in the evening.

The peak of summer, July and August, see rising temperatures with a dry heat. The winter months are cold in the north of the country but around Aqaba and the Dead Sea the climate is more pleasant.

Jordan Top Tips From Our Travel Experts

Abbi Harris - Jordan expert
Abbi Harris

Visiting Petra is a truly incredible experience and well worth dedicating a full day to exploring the depths of the archaeological site. The Treasury can often be a hub of activity, however if you venture out to explore other impressive rock carvings, you will find very few other tourists.
