Makgadikgadi Pans National Park Holidays

One of Botswana’s lesser known attractions, Makgadikgadi Pans National Park is a vast, desolate landscape which many desert adapted species including springbok, gemsbok and aardvark. It is also possible to see meerkats from certain camps.

Shimmering salt pans are located in large areas to the south and east of the park and are widely believed to be one of the largest salt flats in the world. The park is also home to the second largest zebra migration in Africa, where massive herds of zebra and wildebeest migrate between the west of the park in the dry season from May to October, moving to the east of the park.
