Seminyak is buzzing with loads of amazing restaurants, lovely boutique shops and great beach clubs, so is a great option if you like to get out and about on your beach holiday.

Candidasa and the east of Bali offers a more authentic Balinese experience compared to the Southern beach destinations - "Kuta 20 years ago" is how it was described by locals to me. It's also one of the best places for snorkelling in Bali and also a great base to experience mountains, temples and waterfalls.

Dan Spicer - Bali & Lombok expert

Ubud is aptly named the cultural heart of Bali. Heaps of temples, art galleries, as well as easy access to the natural sights of Bali such as waterfalls and the volcanoes. The town is well developed without feeling over developed, loads of good restaurants/bars/cafes and all levels of shopping from bustling street markets to artsy boutique shops.
