If transiting Paris on a rail journey and departing from Gare de Lyon, consider scheduling time for a lovely lunch in the grand and historic Le Train Bleu restaurant at the station. Opened in 1901, it is a magnificent gilded room with intricate carvings and beautiful paintings.

Beautiful Epernay is home to some of the worlds most celebrated Champagne houses - Moet et Chandon and Pol Roger to name just a few.
