Singapore holidays offer a fascinating blend of rich colonial history, iconic modern architecture, sensational shopping and endless dining and entertainment opportunities.

There's plenty to see and do on a Singapore holiday; explore vibrant markets, dine at the world’s first Michelin starred hawker stall, shop until you drop at the fashion houses of Orchard Road or lose yourself in the colourful diversity of Little India, Chinatown or Kampong Glam. After dark, head to the lively entertainment hubs of Clarke Quay and Robertson Quay to sample the tantalising range of restaurants, bars and nightclubs.

As one of Asia’s greenest cities, Singapore boasts huge tracts of tropical greenery and beautiful botanic gardens. Be sure to visit the pioneering Supertree Grove and Cloud Forest at Gardens by the Bay and of course the dazzling Marina Bay waterfront. Just beyond the city itself the fun-filled island of Sentosa is hugely popular with families and offers exciting theme parks, relaxing nature walks and attractive beaches, perfect for a twin centre Singapore holiday.

Trailfinders offers a range of Singapore holidays and our expert travel consultants are a mine of information about what to do here, often with first-hand travel experience. WHEN IS THE BEST TIME TO VISIT SINGAPORE?

The best time to visit Singapore depends on what you want to see and do as the city enjoys a year round warm and tropical climate with plenty of sunshine.

Singapore is a cultural melting pot so there are numerous festivals throughout the year ranging from Diwali to Chinese New Year and one of the world’s biggest Christmas celebrations on Orchard Road, this is the perfect time to visit if you’re looking to experience the local culture and traditions. In September Singapore hosts the annual Grand Prix so the city tends to get significantly busier but for any F1 fans this event is not to be missed!

Singapore Top Tips From Our Travel Experts

Ciaran Brady - Singapore expert
Ciaran Brady

Singapore is a great city to explore on foot. It is beautiful all around the Marina area and get out to the botanical gardens to see all the amazing array of orchids.

Stephen Pain - Singapore expert
Stephen Pain

Singapore has a lot to offer from the markets of Chinatown to the Botanical Gardens, but one of the most iconic parts of the city is the Gardens by the Bay. The Supertrees are all lit up in the evening and one of them even has a bar on top of it with beautiful views of the Marina Bay Sands.

William Rouse - Singapore expert
William Rouse

With the development of the Marina Bay area, Singapore is now a destination in its own right rather than just a convenient stopver (although it is still that too!). Marina Bay, Universal Studios Singapore, Orchard Road and Raffles... you could easily have 3 or 4 nights in Singapore and not run out of things to do.
