Victoria Holidays

australia
Victoria's sophisticated state capital Melbourne is known for its arresting architecture, eclectic fine dining and major sporting events. It’s a destination in its own right but venture beyond the city and you’ll be justly rewarded.

For spectacular wildlife spotting head to Phillip Island to see the daily penguin parade as well as lovable koalas and wallabies, and don’t miss the stunning coastal panoramas of the Great Ocean Road, ranked as one of the finest drives in the world. For hiking opportunities galore, explore the rugged wilderness of the Grampians National Park and head to the premier wine region of the Yarra Valley, there is no better place to enjoy Australia’s finest produce.

Each region of Victoria boasts its own attractions and it’s no exaggeration to say each merits a holiday in its own right. It would be just as easy to spend all your time exploring Melbourne’s colourful laneways and vibrant suburbs, as it would driving the Great Ocean Road, hiking in the Grampians or immersing yourself in the picturesque vineyards of the Yarra Valley.

WHEN IS THE BEST TIME TO VISIT VICTORIA?

Victoria and Melbourne have a variable climate with warm summers but cooler, windy winters than you’d find in other Australian states.

The best time to visit is in spring (September – November), Summer (December to February) and the weather can also be mild and enjoyable in the Autumn months (March to May). Popular attractions such as the Great Ocean Road do become crowded in the summer months.
