Brazilian Amazon Holidays

south & central america
The mighty Amazon River begins in Peru and snakes its way through the world’s largest rainforest to reach the coast of Brazil.

Rich in biodiversity, and home to a variety of wildlife such as caiman, monkeys, sloths and pink river dolphins, a visit to the Amazon region will be a highlight of any Brazilian holiday.

There are two main ways to explore the Amazon; stay a few nights in a jungle lodge or choose to journey along the incredible river on board an Amazon cruise.

WHEN IS THE BEST TIME TO VISIT THE BRAZILIAN AMAZON?

The Brazilian Amazon has two main seasons. The wet season begins in December and runs through to June, bringing high water levels which allow for boat tours through the flooded jungle.

July onward is considered the dry season with rivers reaching their lowest levels by November, providing a greater chance of spotting caiman along the river bank.
