Mandalay Holidays

asia
Mandalay is the second largest city in Burma (Myanmar) and the last royal capital of the Burmese Kingdom. It lies on the east bank of the magnificent Irrawaddy River and it is the access point to the north of the country.

Mandalay’s main attractions lie just outside the city; it is blessed with three former royal capitals on its doorstop, Ava, Amarapura & Sagaing. It is also an important Buddhist religious centre and home to large numbers of monks wearing the distinctive maroon coloured robes.

Be sure not to miss the beautiful sunsets from Mandalay Hill or a trip to the famous U Bein Bridge, believed to be the oldest and longest teakwood bridge in the world.

Trailfinders offers a range of Mandalay holidays and we have a dedicated team of destination specialists who are a mine of information about what to do here, often with first-hand travel experience. Whether you want to explore Burma with your own private driver and guide, on a cycling holiday or a sociable small group tour – they are the perfect people to ask.
