Trailfinders' Matt Blundell gives an insight into Princesa Yaiza Suite Hotel Resort
Princesa Yaiza Suite Hotel Resort Expert Review
Matt Blundell
This was our second stay at Princesa Yaiza and in my opinion it’s the best located hotel in Playa Blanca. It offers easy access to lots of well-priced restaurants outside of the hotel, bars and a small but lovely sheltered beach overlooked by a couple of sunset bars and mountainous views of Fuerteventura in the distance.
We stayed in the Kiko Suite which is located a short walk across the road from the main hotel in the family block (via a tunnel which is much better than it sounds!) The family block worked well for us, the pool was much quieter and there was a games room for the children. It was only a short walk to the beach from the family block.
The suite was a great size with a separate bedroom for the children and daily fridge refills of non-alcoholic drinks and small snacks. We had a room with a balcony overlooking the pool which again we preferred. The staff at the hotel were fantastic and service was second to none.
The Princesa Yaiza is perfectly located and a really good family option. It's big but a well-kept, impressive resort hotel. It never felt too busy as there lots of pool areas, restaurants and it had a great proximity to the beach.
I would thoroughly recommend Playa Blanca as a location for a family break.
Top Tip: we hired a car which was useful for touring the island, a day trip to black sand beaches of El Golfo is recommended too!
