Day 2 Tokyo

Discover the oldest temple in the city, Senso-ji Temple, before attending a morning fire service at Fudo-do Temple. This afternoon visit Meiji Jingu shrine, then head to Shibuya crossing to explore.

Day 3 Tokyo 

Enjoy a day at leisure to seek out the parts of Tokyo you would most like to see.

Day 4 Tokyo to Matsumoto

Journey to Matsumoto and explore the town’s 500-year-old castle, Japan’s oldest and most elegant.

Day 5 Matsumoto to Nagano 

Visit Jigokudani Onsen, home to Japan’s indigenous snow monkeys and observe them as they bathe in the hot springs. This evening, enjoy spending the night at Zenkoji Temple in Nagano, one of the earliest Buddhist temples in Japan.

Days 6-7 Nagano to Kanazawa

Rise early to join the monks for morning prayer, then continue to the samurai district of Kanazawa. Spend a day at leisure exploring the sights of Kanazawa at your own pace.

Day 8 Kanazawa to Takayama

Travel to authentic Takayama and explore the narrow streets of the Sanmachi Suji district. Sample some sake at a traditional distillery before spending the night in a family run minshuku, a traditional Japanese guesthouse.

Days 9-10 Takayama to Hiroshima

Travel on the famous Shinkansen bullet train to Hiroshima where you will visit the moving Peace Memorial Park and museum. On day 10 take a small ferry to Miyajima, a tiny island where deer roam freely.

Day 11 Hiroshima to Kyoto 

Head to Kyoto this morning and explore the imperial Nijo Castle. Marvel at the extensive gardens and impressive architecture.

Day 12 Kyoto

Spend a day at leisure discovering Kyoto. Perhaps explore the Zen gardens, temples, and the geisha district.

Day 13 Kyoto to Osaka

Spend the morning exploring Kyoto before travelling to Osaka. Visit the Namba area, one of Osaka’s most vibrant and interesting districts.

Day 14 Osaka

Your tour comes to an end in Osaka. Depart any time.

Day 2 Delhi to Jaipur

This morning explore the fascinating Old City, with its narrow and packed lanes, delicious local street food and Mughal architecture, before heading to Jaipur in the afternoon.

Day 3 Jaipur
Today visit the Amber Fort, a stunning creation of white marble and red sandstone, before continuing on to Hawa Mahal, the famous Palace of the Winds.

Day 4 Jaipur to Pushkar
The morning is free for you to continue exploring this fascinating city, before driving to the next stop Pushkar. Here, spend time walking around its sacred lake which is considered to be one the holiest lakes in India.

Day 5 Pushkar
Today, travel by camel through the bustling Pushkar markets, a traditional experience and a great opportunity to see your surroundings from up high!

Day 6 Pushkar to Ranthambore NP
Today head to Ranthambore National Park, once part of the magnificent jungles of Central India, join a game drive with the chance to spot majestic Bengal tigers, as they roam among the woodlands and cool off in the lakes.

Days 7-8 Ranthambore NP to Agra
After an early game drive, begin the journey to Agra. Stop en route at the abandoned city of Fatehpur Sikri. On day 8, enjoy an unforgettable guided tour to the incredible Taj Mahal and marvel at the colours of the building.

Days 9-10 Agra to Chambal Sanctuary
Today starts with a drive to your beautiful ecolodge Chambal Sanctuary, a wildlife oasis. On day 10 board a small motor boat to explore the Chambal River, spot soft shell turtles, gharial crocodiles and cranes.

Day 11 Chambal Sanctuary to Varanasi
Relax in the peaceful lodge surroundings, before driving back to Agra and boarding an overnight train to Varanasi. A fantastic opportunity to experience travelling on an Indian sleeper train.

Day 12 Varanasi
After arriving early in Varanasi, head out to explore this city which stretches along the bank of the sacred River Ganges.

Day 13 Varanasi to Delhi
Spend the day absorbing the magical atmosphere of Varanasi, wander the narrow twisting alleys, visit the many colourful temples and shrines and witness the local rituals of bathing in the River Ganges.

Day 14-15 Delhi
Over the next couple of days, enjoy Delhi at your own pace and reflect on the incredible experiences of the last fortnight, before departing on day 15.
