Trailfinders' Lanie Shand gives an insight into Vedema, a Luxury Collection Resort
Vedema, a Luxury Collection Resort Expert Review
Lanie Shand
Vedema is a beautiful boutique hotel with gorgeous views over Santorini. We were lucky to stay in an Aegean Suite which had a jacuzzi hot tub on the balcony and a separate living room suite with side ocean views.
We had a dinner here at the onsite restaurant on the roof terrace. The food was amazing and had beautiful views of the town and the traditional church. Would highly recommend eating here one night.
This hotel is set in the heart of Megalohori, a gorgeous authentic Santorini village with beautiful local tavernas and wineries. I'd recommend eating at Raki in the main square and doing a wine tasting at Galavas winery, just a five minute walk away.
The hotel organises shuttles at set times to take you up to Oia, Fira and to the black sand beach not too far away.
There are a couple of pools to relax by and it’s easy to get a sun lounger. One has beautiful views over the vineyards. They also have a large outside jacuzzi which is beautiful.
I loved this hotel and would happily stay again.
