A wonderful winter adventure awaits you on this five day, action packed visit to snowy Lapland. Search for the Northern Lights, meet Father Christmas at his home in Santa’s village; dash across the snow by snowmobile, on a reindeer sleigh ride and learn how to drive your own pack of sled dogs. Spend a night in a magical glass igloo sleeping under the stars.
Day 1 Arrive into Rovaniemi, the official home of Santa and transfer to your hotel in the town centre.
Days 2-4 Over the next few days exciting activities await! You will have a full day of fun meeting with Santa and his friends. You'll first be kitted out with your warm winter clothing before heading off to visit Santa’s Post Office and meet Santa himself. You will have lunch included in Santa’s village before a snowmobile ride to a local reindeer farm. Meet the reindeer, hear stories about reindeer herding and enjoy a short sleigh ride.You will return to the city by snowmobile before being transferred back to your hotel. In the evening, go on a hunt for the northern lights. During this tour there will be a stop for a snack around a campfire where you can chat with your guide and hear about local life in the arctic. For your next adventure you will need to mush, mush! It’s time to meet the sled dog teams! Hear about the local culture and watch the wilderness rush past as you learn to drive your own pack. These dogs sure love to run! You’ll be amazed how fast they go. Enjoy some free time to explore the town of Rovaniemi. Why not visit the Artikum Science Centre and Museum and learn about Finnish history, culture and the incredible natural wilderness around you. Spend a memorable night in your own glass igloo. Cosy on the inside but with full view of the night sky, turn on the northern lights alarm to ensure you don’t miss the spectacular show.
Day 5 Enjoy a morning at leisure before you transfer back to the office to return your winter wear and are taken to the airport for your onward flight.
