Trailfinders' Chloe Manwell gives an insight into Amari Koh Samui
Amari Koh Samui Expert Review
Chloe Manwell
The Amari Koh Samui is lovely with clear attention to detail and lots of staff to assist. Our room was lovely, light and any issues were fixed instantly. The hotel is located on what I think is the best beach on the island, the sand is so soft! If you’re not in one of the Beachfront Rooms then you’ll be located in one of the buildings across a main road; this isn’t a bad thing however, as they have security who stop the traffic to help you cross, and they are always there.
The breakfast is delicious with lots of choice. They also make any coffee you like, so an iced latte with breakfast - not a problem!
Food and drink at lunch and dinner is very reasonable and if you wish to go out you can walk just ten minutes to the heart of Chaweng which has lots of restaurant and bar options. You can walk on a pavement following the main road, or walk along the beach. I highly recommend coming out the hotel and walking left on the beach to a restaurant/bar called Your Place.
I also never had any issues getting a sunbed! There are three pools to choose from and also a pool bar with its own happy hour in the furthest and largest pool.
Top tip: Take a walk on the beach to the left or the right before 8pm and you can catch some amazing fire shows (they all generally start between 8:30pm and 9:30pm).
