Santhiya Koh Phangan Resort & Spa

Santhiya Koh Phangan is a great option for anyone that prefers a property with an authentic Thai feel. All the buildings, villas and general decor is wooden/teak in style, and the setting is unique, set up a hillside right in the rainforest.

The hotel has two pool areas, the upper pool is quieter and a perfect place to relax. The main pool at the bottom of the resort is livelier and overlooks the beach. The beach is pretty and isn't easily accessed from elsewhere, so you really only get hotel guests on the beach. For a longer stretch of beach which is also stunning to look at, you can walk approx. 10 mins from the hotel itself, and there are bars/restaurants in the local village which is about 15 mins walk.

We had a Hideaway Pool Villa which was very spacious with a lounge area inside and the pool was a good size. The semi open-air bathroom is huge and a unique touch.

The resort is very hilly (although there are vans to shuttle you around the resort if needs be), and there are a lot of uneven surfaces so I wouldn’t necessarily recommend this property to anyone with mobility issues.
