Trailfinders' Seta Amin gives an insight into The Oberoi Beach Resort, Bali
The Oberoi Beach Resort, Bali Expert Review
Seta Amin
The Oberoi Beach Resort Bali never ceases to amaze. This was my second visit at the resort after a long time and it was just as beautiful as my first stay. It's a lovely property with immaculately landscaped gardens with amazing plants and flowers. They even offer a tour of the grounds!
The staff at the resort are all lovely; very friendly and helpful, always smiling and nothing was ever too much trouble throughout our stay. The service was just out of this world.
Amazing views of the beach at breakfast with a great a la carte menu, and they will go the extra mile to bring you your choice of tropical fruits in season not on the menu on request. The pool area is also great, located quite close to the restaurant and nearby rooms and villas overlooking the beach area. The lovely staff come round with ice cold water and fruit skewers to cool down whilst you relax by the pool and provide small bottles of water mist and sunscreen lotion.
Complimentary afternoon tea is also served every day between 4-5pm at the Amphitheatre near the pool area, which includes some local delicacies. It’s definitely worth giving it a try if you happen to be at the resort during that time.
The rooms have a traditional style with a Balinese feel and are very spacious. We stayed in one of the Luxury Garden View Lanais Room which was bright and airy with a big bathroom including a sunken tub and a little garden of your own.
The location is perfect if you want to venture out locally in Seminyak with lots of restaurants and bars nearby, The Batik and Chandi were two of our favourite restaurants in the area. There are also some nice little boutique shops dotted along Jalan Kayu Aya.
You can get some of the best sunset views in Bali from the beach in front of the hotel and I can honestly say we were not disappointed. I highly recommend a walk along the beach and catching the sunset during your stay at the resort.
