Rivertrees Country Inn

Located between Kilimanjaro airport and Arusha town, this charming property is a lovely place to begin or end a safari. It is set in ten acres of lush gardens upon a country estate that was once an old coffee farm, and still retains the nostalgic air of a well-loved homestead. Two restaurants, a pizza oven and a bar offer a choice of dining options and guests can unwind beside the fire in the lounge of the main farmhouse. There is also a pretty pool and a hut for massages set within the gardens. The 37 fan-cooled rooms are scattered around the gardens and alongside the small river that runs by the property and are tastefully furnished in a rustic country style (no TV). Garden Rooms are set in semi-detached thatched brick bungalows, while River Cottages are more spacious with a terrace and an outdoor shower. The River House features 2 ample bedrooms, a large living room and a river view veranda.
