Trailfinders' Joe Seabrook gives an insight into Schoone Oordt Country House, Swellendam
Schoone Oordt Country House, Swellendam Expert Review
Joe Seabrook
I loved Schoone Oordt Country House!
We were greeted at the gate, they took our bags into our room and started washing our car.
The restaurant is great. They will serve you a three course breakfast. Dinner was great as well and has a bit of a reputation for being one of the best in the area. It will book up in advance so be sure to make a reservation.
The location could not be more perfect. On one side you have a lot of boutique shops, museums and cafes, and the other is the main street which has restaurants and churches. We felt very safe walking around.
Top tip: Make reservations for dinner - they are needed in Swellendam!
