Itinerary

Days 1-2  Fort Worth
Welcome to the Lone Star State. They say Fort Worth is where the American West begins, and a trip to the historic stockyards with its daily cattle drives and honky tonk bars is a great place to get into the cowboy frame of mind.

Days 3-4  Wildcatter Ranch
Head to this welcoming ranch in cowboy country for horseback riding and relaxation.

Day 5  Wildcatter Ranch to Amarillo
Drive to Amarillo and see graffitied cars at the surreal Cadillac Ranch before feasting at one of the city’s steakhouses.

Day 6  Amarillo to Taos
Cross into the Land of Enchantment, New Mexico. The remarkable town of Taos is home to artists, bohemians and the Tiwa tribe, one of the oldest Native American communities in the USA. Visit Taos Pueblo, a marvel of adobe architecture and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Day 7  Taos to Santa Fe
Take the scenic High Road to Santa Fe.

Day 8  Santa Fe
America’s oldest state capital is full of colour and culture. Adobe buildings made of mud bricks sit alongside ornate Spanish Colonial architecture, while vibrant markets sell turquoise jewellery and you can find an art gallery on every corner.

Day 9  Santa Fe to Albuquerque
Avoid the freeway and take the Turquoise Trail Scenic Byway to vibrant Albuquerque. Ride up the Sandia Peak Tramway for panoramic views of the city and beyond.

Day 10  Albuquerque to Roswell
Next stop is conspiracy-filled Roswell.  Visit the UFO Museum & Research Center, packed with memorabilia and alien stories synonymous with the town.

Day 11  Roswell to Las Cruces
On your way to Las Cruces stop off at the incredible White Sands National Monument. Bright white and dazzling in the sun, the world’s largest gypsum dunes create a magical and otherworldly landscape.

Day 12  Las Cruces to Tucson
Cross into Arizona. Tucson boasts a dramatic mountain backdrop and combines Native American and Latino cultures with a touch of the Wild West.

Day 13  Tucson
Visit the fantastic Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum, a fusion of botanical gardens, natural history museum and a zoo. Or explore Saguaro National Park to see these giant cacti in their natural habitat.

Day 14  Tucson to Phoenix/Scottsdale
Arrive in Phoenix and settle in to your resort.

Days 15-16  Phoenix/Scottsdale
Enjoy a round of golf or soak up the sun by the pool, sipping a refreshing margarita.
