Itinerary
Day 1 Houston
Vibrant and lively Houston is a fantastic place to begin your Southwestern USA adventure, spend the afternoon exploring.
Day 2 Houston to Lafayatte
Pick up your motorhome and head west to Lafayatte. Explore the heart of Louisiana’s Cajun Country with its rich cultural history, thriving culinary scene and distinctive music.
Day 3 Lafayatte to New Orleans
Continue west to the birthplace of jazz, incredible New Orleans. One of the most vivacious cities in the USA, listen to street musicians playing dixie jazz and check out the lively Bourbon Street.
Day 4 New Orleans
Explore the city to discover true culinary delights, world famous music and perhaps even cruise the Mississippi River aboard a vintage paddle steamer.
Day 5 New Orleans to Pensacola
Cross into Florida and drive to the white sand beaches of Pensacola for a few days on the coast.
Day 6 Pensacola
Relax on the stunning beaches and explore the historic Pensacola Village.
Day 7 Pensacola to Baton Rouge
Retrace your steps today and drive to lively Baton Rouge, Louisiana’s capital city.
Day 8 Baton Rouge to Natchez
The oldest town on the Mississippi, Natchez boasts a wealth of historic antebellum homes. Many of them can be toured which we highly recommend.
Day 9 Natchez to Rusk
Spend a leisurely morning exploring Natchez before heading west towards Austin. Break up the journey in Rusk en route.
Day 10 Rusk to Austin
No visit to the South would be complete without a visit to the ‘Live Music Capital of the World’.
Day 11 Austin
Boasting 200 live music venues and over 300 days of sunshine per year, Austin is a marvellous and friendly city.
Day 12 Austin to San Antonio
On your way to charming San Antonio, route via wonderful Fredericksburg. Renowned for its delightful wineries, enjoy a leisurely lunch in lovely surroundings.
Day 13 San Antonio
Charming San Antonio is home to street cafes, open-air restaurants and a fantastic River Walk. Discover the rich cultural history of San Antonio, and visit the Alamo, originally built as a mission and now a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Don’t forget to sample the delicious local Tex-Mex cuisine.
Day 14 San Antonio to Houston
Drive back to Houston and drop off your motorhome, where your USA adventures comes to an end.
