Itinerary
Day 1 Seattle
Arrive into this dynamic waterside city.
Day 2 Seattle
Enjoy tasty treats at bustling Pike Place Market, view the wondrous creations at Chihuly Gardens & Glass then head to the Space Needle for epic city views.
Day 3 Seattle to Wenatchee
Collect your car and drive to Wenatchee, stopping in spectacular North Cascades National Park en route.
Day 4 Wenatchee to Coeur d’Alene
After a morning walk along the town’s river trail, travel on to the idyllic lakeside town of Coeur d’Alene.
Day 5 Coeur d’Alene to Whitefish
Enjoy dozens of activities at this lakeside playground including paddleboarding and fishing before heading to your next stop, Whitefish. This small, charismatic town is the gateway to Glacier National Park.
Days 6-7 Glacier NP
Bordering Canada in northeast Montana, Glacier National Park offers breathtaking scenery. Drive along the scenic Going-tothe-Sun Road, * hike to one of the glaciers or cruise shimmering lakes.
Day 8 Whitefish to Missoula
Head south, past the Mission Mountains. Stop off at the Ninepipes Museum of Early Montana before arriving in Missoula, a lovely town with a western feel.
Day 9 Missoula to Yellowstone NP
Drive south to iconic Yellowstone.
Days 10-11 Yellowstone NP
The world’s first ever national park, legendary Yellowstone is a wonderland of geysers, lakes and waterfalls. Drive the Grand Loop Road looking out for wildlife, or escape into the wilderness on one of the park’s wonderful hiking trails.
Day 12 Yellowstone NP to Jackson
A shorter drive today takes you to Jackson, your base for outdoor activities and exploring Yellowstone’s impressive neighbour, Grand Teton National Park.
Day 13 Grand Teton NP
With beautiful alpine scenery, crystal clear lakes and activities galore, Grand Teton is a delight to explore.
Day 14 Jackson to Idaho Falls
Cross into Idaho, the Gem State, to visit the remarkable lunar landscape at Craters of the Moon National Monument & Preserve and enjoy the bars and restaurants of Idaho Falls.
Days 15-16 Idaho Falls to Salt Lake City
Continue to Utah and end your journey exploring friendly Salt Lake City. Please note Yellowstone National Park is not accessible by private car due to snow and road closures between Nov - early May so we recommend this itinerary for travel between mid May - Oct.
* Going-to-the-Sun Road in Glacier National Park is open between Jun - Aug and partially open May & Sep.
