Itinerary
Day 1 Las Vegas
Arrive in dazzling Las Vegas, one of the most unique and instantly recognisable cities in the world!
Day 2 Las Vegas
The Las Vegas Strip is home to iconic hotels which are themselves tourist attractions. Spend today enjoying a wander past the Eiffel Tower, an Egyptian pyramid and the Statue of Liberty! Take a ride on a Venetian gondola and be wowed as you explore the lavish and opulent casinos and maybe stop for a spin on the roulette wheel.
Day 3 Grand Canyon National Park
Get ready to tick off one of the Seven Wonders of the Natural World from your bucket list, as you take a scenic flight to the awe-inspiring Grand Canyon. Soar past the Hoover Dam and mighty Colorado River on your 1½ hour flight to the breathtaking Grand Canyon West Rim, where you descend 1km below the rim to touch down at an exclusive site. This once in a lifetime experience is topped off with a glass of Champagne amid dramatic views that few get to see.
Days 4-5 Las Vegas
Enjoy the next couple of days exploring the exhilarating city. Go beyond The Strip with a visit to Downtown Las Vegas, where you’ll find the bright lights of Freemont Street as well as the excellent Mob Museum and the quirky Neon Museum. Perhaps one evening enjoy a mind boggling Cirque du Soleil show or ride the Las Vegas Observation Wheel for a fun view of the city.
Day 6 Las Vegas to Denver
Leave the neon lights behind and fly to the Mile High City. Denver blends a cosmopolitan vibe with western charm and is blessed with a beautiful mountain backdrop.
Day 7 Denver
Today explore this charismatic city. Perhaps visit the Colorado Railroad Museum or fans of the Wild West can head to the Buffalo Bill Museum & Grave. Maybe enjoy a spot of shopping along the 16th Street Pedestrian Mall and for craft beer enthusiasts you’ll be kept busy discovering the Denver Beer Trail.
Day 8 Rocky Mountaineer
Depart Denver and travel onboard the luxurious Rocky Mountaineer train. Cross the Continental Divide as you take in the spectacular views of rugged canyons and the Colorado River before arriving at the resort town of Glenwood Springs where you’ll disembark and transfer to your hotel for the night.
Day 9 Rocky Mountaineer
As you leave Glenwood Springs you’ll cross the Colorado-Utah border with stunning mountain views in the background. Red sandstone landscapes emerge as you approach Moab, a favourite town for outdoor enthusiasts thanks to its convenient location to spectacular desert national parks. Your rail journey comes to an ends upon arrival in Moab.
Day 10 Canyonlands National Park
Join a day tour to explore the mesmerising red rock scenery of Canyonlands National Park and its remarkable mesas, buttes and arches. Visit the ‘Islands in the Sky’ for breath-taking views of the canyon below.
