Itinerary
Day 1 Arrive in Denver
Arrive in Denver and take a taxi, or the affordable light rail to Downtown Denver, to your hotel.
Day 2 Denver & Larimer Square
Explore Denver at your own pace today and maybe start with a visit to a local eatery before exploring the modern side of Denver in Sculpture Park, home to the famous 50ft sculpture ‘The Dancers’. Admire the artwork of local artists around the city. In the evening, enjoy the restaurants, bars and vibrant nightlife of Larimer Square.
Day 3 Magnificent museums and the Denver Performing Arts Complex
Spend the day museum hopping from the Denver Art Museum to the Museum of Contemporary Art, or head to City Park which is home to the Denver Zoo and the Denver Museum of Nature & Science. The Colorado State Capitol is also worth a visit, it’s modelled after the U.S. Capitol and is topped by a dome containing more than 200 ounces of real gold. In the evening see a show at the Denver Performing Arts Complex which encompasses opera, theatre, stage, dance and music. Be sure to plan ahead and purchase your tickets the day before the show.
Day 4 Cherry Creek shopping and the Denver Beer Trail
Head to Cherry Creek and shop ‘til you drop at the Cherry Creek Shopping Center; this shopping hotspot has more than 160 stores. Alternatively, Cherry Creek North homes more high-end shops as well as upmarket, boutique art galleries ideal for the art lover. Afterwards, head back to downtown for an afternoon/evening exploring the Denver Beer Trail; there are over 100 brewpubs, breweries and tap rooms in the metro area waiting to be explored!
Day 5 Red Rocks Amphitheatre
No trip to Denver is complete without a visit to the world-famous Red Rocks Park & Amphitheatre, the only naturally occurring amphitheatre in the world. The Visitor Center features interactive educational displays, a short film documentary on the geologic and musical history and a Performer's Hall of Fame. The perfect place to end your stay before your flight home.
