Itinerary
Day 1 Arrive Phoenix
Arrive in Phoenix and take a taxi to the city to check in to your hotel.
Day 2 Camelback Mountain Hike, Papago Park and Fashion Square
Rise early to beat the heat and head to Camelback Mountain to conquer its iconic kneeling camel shaped peak and be rewarded with stunning views across the city. Next, shop until you drop at Fashion Square before finishing the day at iconic Papago Park, home to red rock buttes and the famed ‘Hole in the Rock’. Enjoy dinner at one of the many restaurants in Downtown’s Heritage Square.
Day 3 Desert Botanical Gardens, Taliesin West and Roosevelt Row
Begin your morning with a visit to the Desert Botanical Gardens, home to more than 50,000 plants and offers a fascinating insight into the flora, conservation and people of the Sonoran desert. Visit Frank Lloyd Wright’s Taliesin West, an impressive architectural site inspired by the beauty of Arizona’s desert landscape. In the evening, wander along Roosevelt Row, Phoenix’s art district and discover galleries, restaurants and boutique shops.
Day 4 Arizona Capitol Museum, Mystery Castle and Old Town
Begin the day with a visit to the Arizona Capitol Museum and learn about the fascinating history of the state. Take a visit to Mystery Castle and learn of its bizarre foundations, built by a father for his princess. This evening, visit Old Town in neighbouring Scottsdale to be transported to a bygone era of saloons; here there are many eateries, shops and nightlife that will have you dancing until the wee hours.
Day 5 Spa
Indulge yourself before your flight home with a visit to one of Scottsdale’s opulent desert spas. Perhaps enjoy a massage whilst observing the sprawling Sonoran desert.
