Itinerary
Day 1 Orlando
This lively city is not just home to world famous theme parks, but also some fantastic golf courses and a large selection of eateries. Take the time to explore at leisure this evening.
Day 2 Orlando to Crystal River
Collect your motorhome and drive north to Crystal River, home to the largest gathering of manatees in North America.
Day 3 Crystal River
Following a leisurely boat ride along the Crystal River in the morning, spend the rest of the day exploring the coastlines of this stunning region and the quaint shops of downtown Crystal River.
Day 4 Crystal River to Perry
Continue your journey north to Perry, located on the ‘Big Bend’. This area offers great fishing and canoeing opportunities as well as unspoiled beaches, perfect for parking up and enjoying a picnic on the water’s edge.
Day 5 Forest Capital State Museum
Step back in time and learn the importance of forestry in this region of Florida. Explore the walking trails through the longleaf pines and visit the authentic 19th Century Cracker Homestead to discover what early life in Florida was like.
Days 6-7 Perry to Panama City Beach
Travel west to the coastal resort of Panama City Beach. With over 27 miles of brilliant white beach, there is a spot to suit every traveller’s needs. Explore the city’s attractions, play a round of golf or simply relax on the beautiful beaches.
Day 8 St Andrews State Park
Known for its sugar white sands and emerald green waters, St Andrews State Park is home to stunning walking trails, abundant wildlife, some of the best locations for fishing on the Gulf Coast and an array of watersports for the more adventurous.
Day 9 Panama City Beach to Pensacola
Head towards Florida’s border with Alabama to Pensacola, home to America’s oldest settlement.
Day 10 Pensacola
Explore the historic Pensacola Village, roam around downtown’s art galleries or sit back and relax on one of the stunning white sandy beaches. Keep your eyes to the sky as Pensacola is home to the Blue Angels Naval Aerobatics Team!
Day 11 Pensacola to Tallahassee
Travel back east to Florida’s state capital, Tallahassee. Discover the city’s thriving food scene and cultural soul.
Day 12 Tallahassee to Gainesville
Journey south inland to the college town of Gainesville, where nature and culture meet. This vibrant town offers fantastic eateries with great local music spots and is surrounded by seven Florida state parks.
Day 13 Paynes Prairie Preserve State Park
Paynes Prairie Preserve State Park was Florida’s first state reserve and is a rich, biological and geological home for wildlife including alligators, bison and over 300 species of birds. Explore the reserve on foot, by horseback or by bike to discover why the park is designated a national natural landmark.
Day 14 Gainesville to Orlando
Head back to Orlando to drop off your motorhome this morning.
