Itinerary
Days 1-3 New York, USA
Arrive into sensational New York City and enjoy some of the world’s best sightseeing and attractions, from dizzying observation decks at the top of a skyscraper to Broadway shows and verdant Central Park.
Day 4 New York to Ithaca
Pick up your car and drive through New York State to the charming collegiate town of Ithaca. This cultural town is full of museums, galleries and theatres and has a picturesque setting on the shore of Cayuga Lake, one of the 11 Finger Lakes.
Day 5 Finger Lakes
Spend the day exploring this beautiful region. Famed for its narrow glacial lakes, the area is also home to rolling hills, impressive gorges and hundreds of waterfalls. It’s one of the country’s biggest wine producers and has over 100 vineyards, some of which can be explored on a ‘wine trail’.
Day 6 Ithaca to Niagara-on-the-Lake, Canada
Cross the Canadian border. Just a little further north of the bustling city of Niagara Falls is delightful Niagara-on-the-Lake. This quaint town is the ideal place for those who want to stay somewhere more serene than its energetic neighbour.
Day 7 Niagara Falls
Visit the thundering waters of one of the most famous waterfalls in the world. Why not view the falls in all their splendour on a boat tour (seasonal) and get up close to this mighty landmark on a walk behind the waterfall itself.
Day 8 Niagara-on-the-Lake to Toronto
Next stop is Ontario’s lakeside capital, Toronto.
Day 9 Toronto
Explore this cosmopolitan city with its vibrant neighbourhoods and plethora of attractions. In the evening perhaps enjoy a meal at the top of the CN Tower where dinner is served up with stunning views of the twinkling city lights below.
Day 10 Toronto to Kingston
The small city of Kingston boasts a scenic setting where the St Lawrence River and Rideau Canal meet Lake Ontario. For a short time in the 1840s it was the capital of Canada and is home to many historic buildings and grand limestone architecture.
Day 11 Kingston to Lake Placid, USA
Leave Canada behind and cross back into New York State. Travel to the town of Lake Placid in the heart of the Adirondacks.

A wonderful region full of sparkling lakes, forested hillsides and mountain peaks. Hiking, biking and canoeing await or simply soak up the incredible vistas on a scenic drive.
