Itinerary
Days 1-2 Boston
Arrive into handsome Boston. This historic and walkable city is a delight to explore.
Day 3 Boston to North Conway
Pick up your car and head into New Hampshire. Stop for lunch along the shores of Lake Winnipesaukee before arriving in North Conway, gateway to the White Mountains.
Day 4 White Mountains
Spend the day discovering these magnificent mountains and head up mighty Mount Washington – you can ascend to the summit by travelling the winding Auto Road or riding the Cog Railway.
Day 5 North Conway to Littleton
Drive the Kancamagus Highway, one of America’s most scenic roads, and head to the quaint town of Littleton in the west of the White Mountains.
Day 6 Franconia
Notch State Park A short drive from Littleton is spectacular Franconia Notch. Rent canoes at pristine Echo Lake or hike the impressive Flume Gorge, a dramatic walkway bisecting towering granite terrain.
Day 7 Littleton to Stowe
Cross into Vermont and onto picturesque Stowe, a classic New England town.
Day 8 Stowe
Nestled in the foothills of the Green Mountains, Stowe has wondrous scenery and an abundance of hiking and biking trails to choose from. Afterwards reward yourself with a trip to the Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream Factory.
Day 9 Stowe to Burlington
The attractive city of Burlington sits on the edge of vast Lake Champlain. Take in the view from the lakeside walking trails or get out on the water on a stand-up paddleboard or kayak.
Day 10 Burlington to Lake Placid
Leave New England behind and cross into New York State. Whilst the small town of Lake Placid is famous for hosting the Winter Olympics, it’s also a fantastic place to be in the summertime and it makes a great base for exploring the Adirondacks.
Days 11-12 The Adirondacks
This vast mountainous park is home to over 3,000 lakes and more than 2,000 miles of hiking trails. Outdoor enthusiasts will be in their element with the huge array of ways to experience this region, all offering incredible vistas.
Day 13 Lake Placid to Saratoga Springs
Head south, past Lake George, to the historic spa town of Saratoga Springs and rejuvenate at your serene resort hotel.
Day 14 Saratoga Springs to Williamstown
Next up is sophisticated Williamstown. With its backdrop of Mount Greylock you can combine mountain scenery with the cultural attractions of the Berkshires.
Day 15 Williamstown to Boston
Drive to Boston for your evening flight home.
