Itinerary
Day 1 Arrive in Boston
Welcome to captivating Boston, a city full of history and charisma. This evening head to the harbourfront to dine on local seafood specialities such as lobster roll and clam chowder.
Day 2 Old Town Trolley Bus Tour
Get your bearings of this charming city on a fun and informative trolley tour. The route takes you to popular locations including key sites on the historic ‘Freedom Trail’ such as Old State House and Faneuil Hall as well as to quaint Beacon Hill, beautiful Boston Common and the original ‘Cheers’ bar!
Day 3 Back Bay & Harvard
In the vibrant Back Bay you’ll find brownstone houses, Copley Square and a huge choice of shops and restaurants. Try Newbury Street for independent boutiques, galleries and quirky cafés. Next cross the Charles River and head towards Harvard. Home of the prestigious university, you can explore the leafy campus and visit its excellent museums.
Day 4 Beyond Boston
Today leave the city behind - shopaholics can take the bus to Wrentham Village, this premium outlet mall is the largest in New England. Or visit Salem - it’s just 30 minutes away on ‘the T’ (local railway). Famous for the 17th Century witch trials, this pleasant waterside town is home to the excellent Salem Witch Museum. If you’re travelling between Apr-Oct how about taking a whale watching cruise from Boston to see these magnificent marine mammals?
Day 5 Depart Boston
Stroll along the scenic waterfront and perhaps visit the aquarium or Boston Tea Party Ship before heading to the airport for your evening flight home.
