Day 1 Muscat              
Upon arrival transfer to your hotel.          

Day 2 Muscat            
Explore Muscat this morning with a visit to the Royal Opera House and the impressive Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque before gaining an overview of Oman’s fascinating history at the Bait Al Zubair museum. Later drive along the scenic waterfront Corniche, stopping off at the fish market and bustling Muttrah Souk with its labyrinth of narrow alleyways packed with colourful little shops. Pause for a photo stop at the magnificent Al Alam Palace, home of the Sultan, then enjoy an Arabic style lunch.          

Day 3 Muscat to Al Hamra          
Today starts with an exhilarating drive through the spectacular Wadi Bani Awf. Journey through dramatic canyons, deep gorges and steep rocky valleys where you will be rewarded with breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape. Pass through the picturesque mountain village of Bilad Sayt followed by a visit to Jabrin Palace Fort before heading to your hotel.

Day 4 Al Hamra  
Today is free for you to explore this rugged and beautiful area further at your leisure.    

Day 5 Al Hamra to Wahiba Sands  
This morning head to Nizwa Fort, a beautiful example of old Omani architecture. The fort features a 40m round tower offering fantastic views of the surrounding Hajar Mountains and date plantations. Next visit Nizwa Souk, one of the oldest souks in the country. Continue with a visit to Wadi Bani Khalid, a desert oasis with pools of sparkling emerald water, followed by the drive to Wahiba Sands. This fascinating mass of towering dunes (some reaching almost 200m) beautifully sculpted by the wind is a photographer’s delight! Experience traditional Bedouin hospitality with a visit to a desert dwelling family then head to your desert camp for the night.          

Day 6 Wahiba Sands to Muscat      
Enjoy an exciting drive over the dunes before leaving the mighty sea of sand behind you. Transfer to Muscat airport or to your Muscat hotel for a relaxing beach break.
