Jewels of Jordan

Day 1  Amman      
Fly to Amman and upon arrival transfer to your hotel.        

Day 2  Amman      
After a morning at leisure, explore Amman’s highlights including the ancient hilltop Citadel, the iconic Roman amphitheatre and the city’s vibrant souks.        

Day 3  Jerash & Ajloun            
This morning head slightly north of Amman to the impressive Ajloun Castle and the wonderfully preserved ruin city of Jerash, often referred to as ‘Pompeii of the East’.        

Day 4  Amman to Petra      
Head towards Petra making some stops en route. Visit Madaba, a city famous for its collection of Byzantine-era mosaics, followed by a stop at the biblical site of Mount Nebo. Your final stop is Shoubak Castle set on a rocky hilltop with scenic views of the barren landscape.        

Day 5  Petra          
Today visit the incredible UNESCO World Heritage listed city of Petra. Start by meandering through the narrow gorge of the Siq which leads you to the remarkable Treasury. Opt to hike up to the Monastery, one of the largest monuments in Petra boasting an impressive façade or explore the many other passageways in this vast site.        

Day 6  Petra to Wadi Rum      
Transfer to ’Little Petra’, home to a Nabataean ruins, and continue on to the incredible red rock desertscapes of Wadi Rum. Discover the many towering sandstone mountains and narrow canyons of this magnificent desert wilderness on a thrilling 4WD safari. Tonight enjoy a traditional Bedouin style dinner beneath the star-studded sky.        

Day 7  Wadi Rum to Dead Sea      
Head to the Dead Sea, the lowest  point on earth.    

Day 8  Dead Sea          
Enjoy some time to relax. Go for a float in these mineral rich waters or choose to try out the mud baths.        

Day 9  Dead Sea to Amman      
Bid farewell to Jordan and transfer to the airport.
