Highlights of Jordan

Day 1  Amman
Fly to Jordan and join your fellow travellers for an evening welcome meeting.

Day 2  Amman
Visit the fascinating site of Jerash, one of the largest and best preserved Roman ruins outside of Italy. Wander the paved streets passing the handsome theatres, baths and fountains, before continuing to the Dead Sea. Discover the legendary healing qualities as you float in the waters before the short journey back to Amman.

Day 3  Amman to Wadi Musa
Depart Amman early this morning to visit Mount Nebo, a historic site believed to be the location of Moses’ death. Trek to the summit and be rewarded with stunning views before continuing to Madaba to see the famous Byzantine mosaics. Step back in time and visit the hilltop Kerak Castle for a guided tour before arriving at Wadi Musa, the town just outside of historic Petra.

Day 4  Petra
Journey to the iconic UNESCO World Heritage Site of Petra, the ’Rose City'. Travel through the dramatic Siq, before rounding the corner to gaze upon the famous Treasury. Learn the history behind the city and visit monuments such as Pharaoh’s Castle and if there is time, opt to hike to the top of The Treasury.

Day 5  Wadi Musa to Wadi Rum
Drive to Wadi Rum, a vast and silent landscape of ancient riverbeds and enjoy a 4WD excursion through the colourful desert. Explore the beautiful desert valley and take the opportunity to climb some of the sand dunes, before reaching your Bedouin camp for the night. Enjoy a traditional meal and learn about the ancient Bedouin culture whilst you sit around the campfire under the glittering stars.

Day 6  Wadi Rum to Aqaba
Travel to the Red Sea resort town of Aqaba for some free time to enjoy the beach, go snorkelling or perhaps visit Aqaba Castle.

Day 7  Aqaba to Amman
After a leisurely morning, journey back to Amman on the Desert Highway. En route, stop for lunch at the Al Safi Kitchen, supported by G Adventures. Enjoy your final night with your fellow travellers.

Day 8  Amman
Your tour comes to an end after breakfast and a return flight home.
