Itinerary

Day 1 Ho Chi Minh City
Welcome to Vietnam! A friendly driver will whisk you from the airport to your hotel, where you’ll meet your travel crew for drinks and dinner.

Day 2 Ho Chi Minh City
Start your adventure in the historic city formerly known as Saigon. Despite the wonderful, welcoming locals, Vietnam’s troubled past is well documented. Learn the astonishing events of 50 years ago in the War Remnants Museum.

Day 3 Ho Chi Minh City to Hoi An
Built in the late 1940’s and spreading over nearly 250km, the Cu Chi Tunnels were used for housing troops, transporting supplies and even laying booby traps. Experience the tunnels up then head to the airport for a flight to Hoi An.

Days 4-5 Hoi An
Welcome to the iconic UNESCO World Heritage Site of Hoi An. This town is famous for its glowing lantern lit streets, so what better souvenir than a lantern made by your very own hands! Choose a silk and learn from the locals how to craft one to take home with you. Day 5 is free to explore at leisure.

Day 6 Hoi An
Work up an appetite with a morning bike ride around Hoi An’s colourful streets, then head to the surprisingly named Coconut Woods – which is in fact a body of water! Board a traditional basket boat and paddle your way through the river, before heading back to town for a big night out.

Day 7 Hoi An to Hue
Today you will journey to Hue in style, in open top jeeps down the legendary Hai Van Pass! Soak up some of Vietnam’s most incredible scenery and maybe stop for a cheeky swim en route. On arrival in Hue, head out to sample the city’s nightlife with your travel crew.

Day 8 Hue to Ninh Binh
Spend the morning exploring the Imperial City of Hue, its walled gardens and the Perfume River. Learn some more secrets of Vietnamese cuisine over a lunchtime cooking class before hitting the road again to your next stop, Ninh Binh.

Day 9 Ninh Binh
Ninh Binh is known as the Halong Bay on land and for good reason, it’s breathtakingly beautiful. Arrive and jump aboard small boats and paddle through untouched caves and around small surrounding islands. You’ll also see limestone hills dotted amongst the luscious trees in one of the best nature destinations in all of Vietnam and also off the typical touristy trail

Day 10 Ninh Binh to Halong Bay
Your next destination is arguably one of Asia’s most famous, and a regular feature on most travel bucket lists – it’s Halong Bay! Jump on a traditional junk boat to sail through the emerald lagoon, surrounded by a labyrinth of limestone karst islands. Enjoy an afternoon of swimming, snorkelling and aquatic high jinks, then sit back to give the sunset your undivided attention.

Day 11 Halong Bay to Hanoi
After a final morning in the amazing bay, it’s time to take your final photos and travel on to Hanoi. The late afternoon is free so head out and explore!

Days 12-13 Hanoi
Hanoi is chaotic, vibrant an absolute experience in itself. Time to explore, right? But not before sampling one of Vietnam’s favourites, a traditional egg coffee. The rest of the day is all yours to explore. Whatever side of Hanoi you like, whether that’s the Old Quarter, Hoan Kiem Lake, Hanoi’s gorgeous Opera House or the countless other spots in the city. On day 13 check out after breakfast, and depart at any time.
