Sapa Extension

Day 1  Hanoi to Lao Cai    
This evening transfer to Hanoi station to board the overnight train to Lao Cai, the gateway to the exceptional natural beauty and dramatic landscapes of Sapa.    

Day 2  Lao Cai to Sapa    
Arrive in Lao Cai and take a scenic drive to the deep valleys and towering hills of Sapa. Enjoy a morning walking tour and visit the bustling market where members of local hill tribes meet to sell their colourful handicrafts and traditional silverware. Later, travel out of town to Hang Da village stopping along the way to admire the impressive views of the Hoang Lien mountain range. On arrival, enjoy a moderate walk through terraced rice fields and several charming Hmong hamlets.    

Day 3  Sapa    
Today head north from Sapa through the spectacular scenery of imposing mountains, jungle-clad valleys, delightful rice fields and picturesque waterfalls to explore some of the less visited villages of this charming region. After lunch, get a true insight into the everyday rural life of this region as you spend 4-5 hours walking the gently undulating paths which connect village to village, experiencing the local customs and traditional practices of the Red Dao hill tribe.  

Day 4  Sapa to Hanoi    
Enjoy a morning at leisure before returning by road to Hanoi.
