Itinerary

Days 1-2 Hanoi
Welcome to Vietnam. Arrive in the capital city of Hanoi and make your way to the hotel for a welcome meeting at 6pm. Spend the morning of day two adjusting to Vietnamese roads on a city bike tour taking in sights such as the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum complex and the vibrant old town whilst the afternoon is at your leisure to explore.

Day 3 Hanoi to Mai Chau
Ride through the morning past limestone peaks, tranquil paddy fields and small Vietnamese villages on your first major cycle of the trip. In the afternoon head along the Da River Reservoir towards your base in Mai Chau where you will enjoy local hospitality with a home cooked meal as you spend the night in a homestay.

Day 4 Mai Chau to Ninh Binh
Absorb more of the beautiful countryside as you ride through the picture perfect small towns and green fields of this lush region. Transfer to your base for the night in Ninh Binh where you can sit back for the evening and watch everyday rural life in action.

Days 5-6 Ninh Binh to Hue
Soak up spectacular views of the landscape as you depart Ninh Binh, passing through the ancient capital Hoa Lu before catching an overnight train to your next stop in Hue. Day six finds you back on your bike exploring the imperial and modern history of the city as you visit the Imperial Citadel and witness the foliage covered remnants of the Forbidden Purple City which was largely destroyed in the war.

Days 7-8 Hue to Hoi An
Enjoy some truly spectacular views as you set out to cycle the legendary Hai Van Pass with plenty of time to take photos before arriving in picturesque Hoi An, your home for the next two nights. Take a walking tour on the morning of day eight and take in the pagodas and assembly halls that make up this Chinese influenced town. The afternoon is at your leisure to explore, with the option of visiting Cua Dai beach or perhaps getting some custom made clothes from one of cities many famous tailors.

Day 9 Hoi An to Quy Nhon
Take the road less the travelled today as you cycle along the less visited coastal road to your base for the night in Quy Nhon. Being largely undiscovered by visitors, the long stretches of beach and relaxed boulevards make it a great place to unwind after a day of riding.

Days 10-11 Quy Nhon to Nha Trang
Marvel at the spectacular views as you take on one of Vietnams most scenic stretches of road en-route to the coastal town of Nha Trang, your base for the next 2 nights. Swap your bike for a boat on day 11 and head out for a day trip to the nearby islands where you will spend the day snorkelling in turquoise waters, feasting on a seafood buffet for lunch and perhaps even soothing your muscles in a mud bath.

Day 12 Nha Trang to Dalat
Depart the coast for the cooler climes of the South Central Highlands as you wind your way to Dalat for the night. Often considered one of the most delightful in Vietnam, this Swiss-French feeling city makes the perfect base from which to explore this region.

Day 13 Dalat to Phan Tiet
Spend the morning taking a tour of Dalat, taking in such varied sights as Bao Dai’s summer palace and the unconventional architecture of the Hang Nga Crazy House. After lunch, journey along the forest lined Gia Bac Pass as you head to the beautiful beaches of Phan Thiet where you will spend the night.

Days 14-15 Phan Tiet to Ho Chi Minh City
Embark on one last ride this morning, cycling along the coast and soaking up the sea views before transferring to your final stop in Ho Chi Minh City. Spend the remainder of this day exploring this metropolis, perhaps visiting the Reunification Palace, the War Remnants Museum or the food stalls at Ben Thanh market. Your tour ends the following morning after breakfast.

Departs: Frequent departures, Jan - Dec.
