Itinerary
Day 1 Bangkok
Welcome to Thailand! Hop in a transfer to your hotel, meet your fellow travellers and head out to Khao San Road for a big group dinner and drinks.
Day 2 Bangkok to Kanchanaburi
Start the day bright and early with a visit to one of Bangkok’s iconic floating markets. After you’ve browsed by longtail boat, head off to Kanchanaburi for a cruise down the River Kwai, stopping at the famous bridge for sunset.
Day 3 Kanchanaburi
Drive an hour outside town to the breathtaking Erawan Waterfalls. Make sure you have your swimmers with you, as there are seven crystal clear tiers to go for a dip in! Have lunch at the falls then head back to your hotel for an afternoon by the pool.
Day 4 Kanchanaburi to Chiang Mai
Enjoy a leisurely morning before you hit the road. Next stop is Thailand’s ancient capital, Ayutthaya. This world heritage site is best explored on two wheels, so grab a bike and cycle back in time through the crumbling ruins. After a bite to eat, board the overnight train to Chiang Mai.
Day 5 Chiang Mai
Arrive into chilled out Chiang Mai early this morning and check into your guesthouse. Kick things off with a visit to Doi Suthep, a beautiful temple with incredible panoramic views over the whole city. Your afternoon is free to roam the markets before a group dinner in the evening.
Day 6 Chiang Mai to Hill Tribe Homestay
Lace up your walking boots and head off into the jungle for a trek to a traditional hill tribe village. You’ll spend the night in a homestay here, getting a glimpse into lives that have not changed for generations. Expect to see all kinds of wildlife on the trek, and even a waterfalls or two.
Day 7 Hill Tribe Homestay to Chiang Mai
After a big thank you to your wonderful hosts, depart on the journey back to Chiang Mai – this time via bamboo raft! Glide down the river and keep your eyes peeled for elephants along the banks.
Day 8 Chiang Mai
Another day in the jungle is on the cards today, with a twist. Get your adrenaline pumping with an exciting day of ziplining, rope bridges and abseiling, experiencing the rainforest from all the way up in the canopy.
Day 9 Chiang Mai to Pai
This morning, enjoy a very special visit to a dedicated elephant rehabilitation sanctuary. The gentle giants are free to roam here, and you’ll learn all about the work done to protect them, then get the chance to hand feed them some fruit. With full hearts (and cameras), hop on the bus to your next stop, the hippy town of Pai. Check out the night market and have a few drinks in one of the many backpacker bars.
Day 10 Pai
Head out for a full day to see Pai’s many natural wonders. Starting at Thailand’s biggest cave, hike through the main chambers and raft along the river, then give your muscles a break with a soak in a geothermal hot spring. Finish the day at Pai Canyon and watch the sun slowly set behind the surrounding mountains, before treating yourself to dinner at a nice restaurant.
Day 11 Pai
After a jam packed few days, enjoy some time to do your own thing – by the pool, strolling around town, or reading a good book! Later, head to the Chinese village for some tea tasting.
Day 12 Pai to Chiang Mai
Head back to Chiang Mai this morning and learn about some of Thailand’s traditional dishes at a local cooking school. Select fresh ingredients from the market, then turn them into a tasty meal with the help of your friendly teacher. Take the recipes with you to show off to your mates back home!
Day 13 Chiang Mai
Spend today at Chiang Mai’s very own Grand Canyon! It’s a man-made lagoon which has been turned into an adult playground, with paddle boards, a climbing wall, water slides hewn out of the rock and great spots for cliff jumping. When the day is done, head back to the city for dinner.
Day 14 Chiang Mai to Bangkok
Enjoy a last day in Chiang Mai before boarding the night train back to the hustle and bustle of Bangkok.
Day 15 Bangkok
Wake up back in Thailand’s crazy capital, with a day to explore it in more detail. Hop on a traditional longtail boat to ride through the maze of canals, then swap boat for tuk-tuk to visit some of the city’s ornate temples. In the evening, head back to the backpacker buzz of Khao San Road for dinner and drinks.
Day 16 Bangkok to Surat Thani
After a busy few days treat, yourself to an included Thai massage and rest your weary muscles. Later, board another overnight train to the south and let the gentle swaying of the carriage rock you to sleep.
Day 17 Surat Thani to Khao Sok National Park
Pull into the station early this morning and board a longtail boat into the national park. Cruise through breathtaking scenery of limestone karst mountains rising from the emerald lake – and feel free to jump out for a swim! Your accommodation tonight is an incredible floating lodge. Check in and wile away the afternoon relaxing in a tube or exploring in a kayak. Dinner is in the resort’s floating restaurant – obviously!
Day 18 Khao Sok National Park to Koh Phangan
Once you’ve torn yourself away from your floating home in the jungle, today has another exclusive destination in store. Only accessible by boat and 4WD, journey to the stunningly beautiful Bottle Beach. You and the group have it to yourselves for the night, so spend the day frolicking in the sea, hiking, or lazing on the shore. As the sun goes down, enjoy some cocktails around the campfire.
Day 19 Koh Phangan
Wake up to the sound of the waves breaking on the beach and have a chilled out morning recharging your batteries. In the afternoon, head to a local gym for an introductory lesson in the ancient art of Muay Thai boxing, then check into your next resort with the best bars in Koh Phangan on your doorstep.
Day 20 Koh Phangan

Day 22 Koh Tao
Today experience the unbelievable underwater world that has made Koh Tao world renowned. Take your snorkelling gear out to beautiful Koh Nang Yuan and see if you can find Nemo amongst the array of incredible marine life. If you would like to arrange a scuba diving lesson, speak to your friendly guide!
Day 23 Koh Tao to Koh Phi Phi
It’s up to you how to spend your final day in Koh Tao – you could scale limestone cliffs on a rock climbing excursion, return to the deep for more diving, or simply read a book under a palm tree. This evening, set out on an overnight boat journey across the gulf to Koh Phi Phi Don.
Day 24 Koh Phi Phi
Enjoy a free day to explore this chilled out island. Trek up to the viewpoint for some oh so insta-worthy vistas, kick back on the beach or roam around town on a souvenir hunt; the choice is yours.
Day 25 Koh Phi Phi
Today you will visit one of the most recognisable places in Thailand, or perhaps the world. Maya Bay was made famous by Leo Dicaprio’s film ‘The Beach’, and for good reason – it is jaw-droppingly beautiful. With a full day here, you can do some more snorkelling, visit Viking Cave and Monkey Beach, then watch the crimson sunset from your boat.
