Days 1-2 Sepilok  
Transfer to your lodge in Sepilok and enjoy your first afternoon soaking up the peaceful surroundings. The next day visit the Bornean Sun Bear Conservation Centre to see this lesser known bear species – named after the crescent shaped patch of fur on their chests resembling a rising sun. Head to nearby Sepilok Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre and learn about the fantastic work they do. Walk along the wooden boardwalk through the rainforest to observe these amazing animals in their natural environment and watch their morning feeding session. Continue to the Rainforest Discovery Centre and explore the canopy walkway nestled high into the trees, keeping your eyes peeled for wildlife all around.        

Days 3-5 Kinabatangan River  
Travel onwards to the mighty Kinabatangan River and check in at your riverside lodge. Spend a couple of days embarking on river cruises in search of the river’s diverse wildlife. You may spot orangutans, proboscis monkeys, pygmy elephants and crocodiles along the river banks, as well as an abundance of other wildlife. Mornings on the river are often misty, creating a truly atmospheric setting as the sun rises. After two early morning starts, enjoy a leisurely breakfast before transferring to Sandakan Airport for your onward travel arrangements.
