Itinerary
Day 1 Lima, Peru
Arrive in Lima and make your own way to your hotel. Meet your fellow travellers at a welcome meeting before enjoying a guided walking tour.
Days 2-3 Lima to Amazon Rainforest
Fly to Puerto Maldonado this morning before taking a motorised canoe to the heart of the rainforest. Day 3 includes a trek through the jungle where you may see macaws, monkeys and even giant otters. There’s also time for an exciting night walk in the forest.
Day 4 Amazon Rainforest to Cusco
Fly to Cusco and enjoy an orientation walk on arrival. You’ll see the San Pedro Market and San Blas Square among other Cusco monuments.
Day 5 Cusco to Sacred Valley
Head through the Sacred Valley and stop by at a local community for an educational visit. Continue to Ollantaytambo where you’ll spend the night.
Day 6 Sacred Valley to Inca Trail
Journey to the start point of the famous Inca Trail. Meet with your local guides and porters and start the four day trek.
Days 7-9 Inca Trail
With steep paths and intriguing ruins, the Inca Trail offers wonderful views of Machu Picchu and is guaranteed to get the blood pumping. Return to Cusco on the evening of day 9.
Day 10 Cusco
Today is free for you to relax and enjoy some of Cusco’s beautiful sights.
Day 11 Cusco to Lake Titicaca
Travel through dramatic scenery to Puno, perched on the shores of Lake Titicaca.
Day 12 Lake Titicaca homestay
Take to the water and visit the Titinos floating islands where you’ll spend the night with a local family. Experience this traditional way of life and help the community with their daily activities.
Day 13 Lake Titicaca
Today begins with a boat trip to nearby Taquile Island where you’ll trek to the island’s highest point for magnificent views. Spend the afternoon back in Puno and enjoy a chilcano cocktail.
Days 14-15 Lake Titicaca to La Paz, Bolivia
Cross the border into Bolivia and continue to La Paz. A hotchpotch of a city, visiting La Paz is a fascinating and colourful experience. Enjoy the final night with your fellow travellers before your tour ends on the morning of day 15.
