Itinerary
Days 1-2 Mexico City
Arrive in Mexico City and join an evening welcome meeting. Spend time getting to know this vibrant city. Perhaps walk around the sprawling main square or admire the impressive Mayan and Aztec artifacts at the National Museum.
Day 3 Mexico City to Puebla
Rise early for a guided tour of the ancient city of Teotihuacan. Marvel at the Pyramids of the Sun and Moon and stroll down the Avenue of the Dead, later continue to Puebla.
Day 4 Puebla
From visiting Cholula Ruins to watching a Lucha Libre wrestling match, there is much to choose from on your free day in Puebla.
Day 5 Puebla to Oaxaca
Journey south to Oaxaca, embrace the city with a walking tour to an exuberant market. Visit the Alebrijes Artisan Community to meet a local artisan who will teach you how the Mexican folk art sculptures are crafted.
Day 6 Oaxaca
With the morning at leisure, the choice is yours to delve into the flavours of mole or sample some mezcal at a local distillery. In the evening, taste a variety of regional cuisine at a local cooking class.
Days 7-8 Oaxaca to Palenque
Fly to Villahermosa, before transferring to Palenque by land. On day 8 explore the Mayan ruins of Palenque, set in the jungle of Chiapas.
Days 9-10 Palenque to Mérida
Stop off at the historic seaside city of Campeche en route to the dazzling Yucatán Peninsula. Arrive in Mérida and get to know the city on an orientation walk. Day 10 is a free day to explore the surroundings.
Day 11 Mérida to Valladolid
Wonder the Ancient Mayan City of Chichén Itzá with a local expert teaching you of the tales and rituals of the ancient Mayan civilization. Tonight, stay in the quaint town of Valladolid.
Day 12 Valladolid to Playa Del Carmen
The beautiful Mayan Riviera beaches are waiting for you to lounge on the white sands and enjoy the azure Caribbean waters.
Days 13-14 Playa Del Carmen
Spend the day relaxing on the stunning beaches or take a final chance to wander the Mayan ruins. Your trip comes to an end on day 14, depart at any time for your onwards travel.
