Itinerary

Days 1-2  Playa del Carmen, Mexico
Arrive into Playa del Carmen in good time as tonight you’ll head out with the group to bustling 12th Street.

Days 3-5  Playa del Carmen to Caye Caulker, Belize
Journey to Belize today for two marvellous nights in Caye Caulker. Why not snorkel with stingrays in the turquoise waters?

Days 6-7  Caye Caulker to Cayo District
Travel to San Ignacio where you’ll enjoy a pottery class and lunch. Day 7 has some sacred Mayan sites in store should you wish to visit.

Day 8  Cayo District to Flores, Guatemala
En route to Flores stop for a guided tour of the magnificent ruins of Tikal.

Days 9-10  Flores to Rio Dulce
Pass by dense jungle scenery before reaching Rio Dulce. On day 10 perhaps visit howler monkeys on a sunrise kayak.

Days 11-12  Rio Dulce to Antigua
Experience Antigua’s cobbled streets on an orientation walk. Later maybe learn some salsa and practise your new moves on a night out.

Days 13-14  Antigua to San Juan La Laguna
The beautiful shores of Lake Atitlán await as you spend the night in Panajachel. On day 14 glide across the lake and stay with a local family in the remarkable scenery of San Juan La Laguna.

Days 15-16  San Juan La Laguna to Antigua
Return to Antigua and enjoy a lively night with the group. Day 16 is free to recover, relax with a massage or cycle through the hills.  

Days 17-18  Antigua to Copán, Honduras
Venture from Antigua to Honduras where you’ll stay in Copán, an ancient Mayan city with tranquil hot springs.

Day 19  Copán to Suchitoto, El Salvador
Head into El Salvador and reach Suchitoto. Try the delicious pupusas, a Salvadorian specialty.

Days 20-21  Suchitoto to La Libertad
Enjoy a morning at leisure before heading to La Libertad. On day 21 enjoy this laidback beach town, take a surf lesson or visit the Tamanique Waterfalls.

Day 22  La Libertad to León, Nicaragua
Set off for a day of travel by land and sea to Nicaragua, finishing up in León with a short orientation walk.

Days 23-24  León to Granada
Journey to Granada and stroll around its colourful streets. Tonight, head out with the group. Day 24 is free to explore beautiful Granada’s markets, buildings and museums.

Days 25-26  Granada to Ometepe Island
Get to know locals during a two night homestay on Ometepe. Explore the quaint island and try the local cuisine.  

Days 27-28  Ometepe Island to Monteverde, Costa Rica
Take a ferry back to the shore and continue to Costa Rica, finishing up in the cloud forest of Monteverde. Perhaps fly through the jungle canopy via zipline or tour a coffee plantation.

Days 29-32  Monteverde to San José
Drive along bumpy roads to La Fortuna, stopping for a peaceful cruise on Lake Arenal. Enjoy a day at leisure in this area before heading through the mountains for a final night out in San José.
