Cycle Nicaragua, Costa Rica & Panama

Day 1  Granada, Nicaragua    
Arrive in Granada at any time and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure.

Day 2  Masaya Volcano NP    
Start the day with a cycle towards the shore of Lake Nicaragua. After lunch, drive to Masaya Volcano National Park where it’s possible to see the bubbling lava and colourful parakeets.

Day 3  Granada to Ometepe Island  
Cycle through the rolling countryside which surrounds the famous Pueblos Blancos. After lunch, transfer by bus to the shores of Lake Nicaragua and board a ferry to the volcanic Ometepe Island.

Day 4  Ometepe Island to San Juan del Sur  
Enjoy a morning cycle on the island before heading back to the mainland. Get back in the saddle for a ride along La Chocolata Road to San Juan del Sur, a pacific beach town.

Day 5  San Juan del Sur to Canas, Costa Rica    
An early start as you cycle across Nicaragua to La Virgen. Transfer across the border to Costa Rica.

Day 6  Canas to Arenal    
Experience a raft trip down the Tenorio River, a haven for birds and wildlife including monkey, iguana and coati.  Cycle through the Bijagua Valley and  in the region surrounding Arenal.

Day 7  Arenal    
Watch for monkeys, toucans and colourful butterflies as you cycle towards La Fortuna.

Day 8  Arenal    
Enjoy views of Arenal volcano as you ride. Later, visit Eco-Termales Hot Springs.

Day 9  Arenal to Puerto Viejo    
Another early start as you cycle through tropical lowlands. Continue by bus to Limon where you will climb back on your bike for a cycle along the Caribbean coast to Puerto Viejo.

Day 10  Puerto Viejo to Bocas del Toro Islands, Panama    
Cycle south travelling through beautiful countryside and small villages to the Panama border. After border formalities, travel by bus to the coast and board a boat to the tropical Bocas del Toro Islands.

Day 11  Bocas del Toro Islands    
Today is at leisure to explore the beautiful Bocas del Toro Islands. Relax on the white sand beaches, swim in the crystal clear waters and visit some amazing snorkelling spots.

Day 12  Bocas del Toro Islands to Las Lajas    
Today, climb on your bike for a downhill ride with great mountain views and river crossings. Jump back on the bus for the remainder of the journey to Las Lajas.

Day 13  Las Lajas to Panama City    
Ride through the Panama countryside passing sugar plantations and tropical lowland forest. After lunch, board a bus for the final part of the journey to Panama City, crossing the famous canal.

Day 14  Panama City    
The final day of biking is truly memorable as you cycle along the Panama Canal. See the process of raising and lowering the traffic at Miraflores Locks and learn more about the canal at the visitor centre.

Day 15  Panama City    
Your tour comes to an end after breakfast.
