Day 1  Quito    
Upon arrival transfer to the 5★ Boutique Casa Gangotena. This beautiful converted mansion is located in the heart of Quito’s charming old town.

Day 2  Quito    
Join your guide for a fascinating walking tour of Ecuador’s capital city and visit the nearby Equatorial Monument.

Day 3  Quito to Mashpi Lodge    
Drive north to the fantastic 4★+ Mashpi Lodge in the lush Andean cloud forest (see p66). Meet the naturalist guides and embark on a guided nature walk.    

Days 4-5  Mashpi Lodge  
Explore an enchanted world of giant ferns and towering trees with a range of activities over the next two full days. Rise early to see the birdlife at their most active, hike forest trails, glide across the canopy and enjoy wonderful views from the lodge’s observation tower.    

Day 6  Mashpi Lodge to Hacienda Zuleta    
Enjoy a final activity in the cloud forest before driving to wonderful 4★ Hacienda Zuleta.

Day 7  Hacienda Zuleta    
Spend a leisurely day around the hacienda. Explore the walking trails or visit the Andean Condor Rehabilitation Centre.

Day 8  Hacienda Zuleta to Quito    
Visit the vibrant market town of Otavalo before continuing to Quito.

Day 9  Quito to the Galápagos Islands    
Fly to Baltra and board the 4★+ La Pinta. This fresh, modern and stylish mid-sized ship boasts spacious social areas, expert naturalist guides and a wealth of wonderful activities. This afternoon enjoy your first exciting excursion.    

Days 10-12  Galápagos Islands    
Spend your days exploring this remarkable archipelago. Snorkel with the fantastic marine life, hike to picturesque viewpoints and learn about the history of these unique and wonderful islands.  

Days 13-14  Galápagos Islands    
Disembark your cruise and transfer to 4★+ Finch Bay Galápagos Hotel on Santa Cruz Island where you have time to relax after your cruise or explore the local area on a variety of optional activities (payable locally).    

Day 15  Galápagos Islands to Guayaquil    
Fly to Guayaquil and transfer to the beautifully restored 5★ Hotel del Parque, a unique property set in the centre of historic Guayaquil.  

Day 16  Guayaquil    
Transfer to the airport.
