Itinerary
Day 1 Santiago, Chile
Upon arrival transfer to your hotel.
Day 2 Santiago
Explore Chile’s sprawling capital city on a half day tour.
Day 3 Santiago to San Pedro de Atacama
Fly to Calama and drive to San Pedro de Atacama. Later head to Moon Valley to see its otherworldly rock formations and watch the sunset turn the lunar-like landscapes into a kaleidoscope of colours.
Day 4 San Pedro de Atacama
An exciting day exploring the Atacama Desert and the vast salt flat of the Salar de Atacama. Discover impressive rock formations, spot flamingos at high altitude lagoons and visit remote villages.
Day 5 San Pedro de Atacama
Rise early to see the famous El Tatio Geysers at their most active. Marvel at the swirling columns of steam from 64 geysers, flanked by soaring volcanic peaks. The afternoon is at leisure.
Day 6 San Pedro de Atacama to Purmamarca, Argentina
Travel along the high Andes road across the border into Argentina – a spectacular journey past glistening lagoons, stark salt flats and towering mountains.
Day 7 Purmamarca to Salta
Tour the Quebrada de Humahuaca, a stunning canyon crafted by the harsh desert winds, before heading to Salta.
Day 8 Salta
See the highlights of the pretty city of Salta on a walking tour.
Day 9 Salta to Cafayate
Drive south through the Calchaquí Valley to Cafayate in Argentina’s high altitude wine country and visit two excellent vineyards and the wine museum.
Day 10 Cafayate
A day at leisure to unwind at your hotel set amidst the vineyards.
Day 11 Cafayate to Iguazú Falls
Leave the desert behind and fly from Salta to the lush jungle setting of Iguazú Falls.
Day 12 Iguazú Falls
Witness one of nature’s greatest wonders on a tour of the Argentine Iguazú National Park. Follow the walkways through the forest to marvel at these breathtaking waterfalls.
Day 13 Iguazú Falls to Buenos Aires
Visit the Brazilian side of the falls, which offer a more panoramic view, before flying to Buenos Aires.
Day 14 Buenos Aires
This vibrant city is the perfect place to end your holiday. Discover the various barrios (neighbourhoods) and watch a mesmerising tango show.
Day 15 Buenos Aires
Today is free to explore more of the city.
Day 16 Buenos Aires
Transfer to the airport.
