Itinerary
Day 1 Santiago
On arrival transfer to your hotel.
Day 2 Santiago
Discover cosmopolitan Santiago with a half day tour. Visit the Plaza de Armas, historic Santa Lucia Hill and the artistic neighbourhood of Bellavista.
Day 3 Santiago to Puerto Varas
Fly to Puerto Montt and transfer to the beautiful town of Puerto Varas in the Chilean Lake District.
Day 4 Puerto Varas
Head to the neighbouring town of Frutillar, known for its German architecture and lakeside theatre, where you will jump on a bike for your cycling adventure. Ride through beautiful scenery beside Lake Llanquihue and enjoy the views of surrounding volcanoes. Finish with a visit to a local brewery to sample some of the best beer in town.
Day 5 Puerto Varas
Raise your adrenaline levels whilst rafting on the Petrohué River in the Vicente Pérez Rosales National Park. Learn the skills on a quiet section of the river before paddling to class III-IV rapids. If you prefer calmer waters then we can also offer kayaking trips.
Day 6 Puerto Varas
Rise early for a full day of trekking on the Osorno Volcano. Follow the Desolación Pass which will take you from green forest to barren ash-covered areas on the slopes of the volcano. Marvel at the panoramic views and different landscapes before returning to Puerto Varas.
Day 7 Puerto Varas to Punta Arenas
Fly to Punta Arenas, the southernmost city in Chile.
Day 8 Punta Arenas to Torres del Paine NP
Journey to the Torres del Paine National Park. En route stop at a traditional Patagonian ranch for lunch.
Days 9-10 Torres del Paine NP
Explore this spectacular park with two full days and a choice of activities included. Marvel at the jagged peaks of the Paine Massif, discover crystal clear lakes, imposing glaciers and majestic waterfalls. This destination is a hiker’s dream with a variety of trails to choose from.
Day 11 Torres del Paine NP to Rosario Valley
Return to Punta Arenas in time for a flight to Santiago. Drive out of the city into the countryside for a stay at the 4★ La Casona at Vina Matetic, a lovely boutique property in the winelands of the Rosario Valley.
Day 12 Rosario Valley
After an active itinerary, today is a chanceto relax whether it’s by the pool or in thetranquil grounds. A tour and wine tasting atthe estate's vineyard is included in your stay.
Day 13 Rosario Valley to Santiago
Return to Santiago for your onward travel arrangements.
Additional Options: Although Torres del Paine is the jewel in Chile’s trekking crown, this vast country offers a wealth of other areas ideal for hiking, including the less visited Aysén Region and the lush Valdivian rainforest surrounding 4★ Futangue Hotel & Spa, a 3 hour drive north of Puerto Varas and one of Chile’s best kept secrets.
