Bolivian Amazon Extension

Day 1  La Paz to Madidi National Park  
Take a short flight over the Andes from La Paz to Rurrenabaque. On arrival you will be met and transferred to Chalalán Lodge. Look out for wildlife as you travel along the Beni and Tuichi rivers deep into the rainforest. This afternoon enjoy a short walk with your naturalist guide and learn about the rainforest before returning to the lodge by canoe. This evening take a guided night walk through the rainforest.  

Day 2  Madidi National Park  
Enjoy a hike through the rainforest and learn about the medicinal herbs, exotic plants and diverse wildlife found in this region of the Amazon. This afternoon walk to an elevated viewpoint for impressive vistas of Madidi National Park and learn the history of the local community. This evening head out on a thrilling night canoe ride under the stars and encounter more nocturnal wildlife.  

Day 3  Madidi National Park                
Embark on a full day walk along the rainforest paths to the River Eslabón. Look out for the animals of the forest and learn more about this unique ecosystem as you walk. Return to the lodge for the afternoon and enjoy some time to relax.      

Day 4  Madidi National Park to Rurrenabaque  
This morning enjoy one last nature walk along the jungle trails before boarding your boat back to Rurrenabaque. On arrival you will be taken to your hotel.          

Day 5  Rurrenabaque to La Paz              
Your Amazon adventure comes to an end with a transfer to the airport for your onward flight to La Paz.
