Itinerary
Day 1 Christchurch
Arrive in New Zealand’s ‘Garden City’ and relax before an evening welcome reception.
Day 2 Christchurch to Omarama
Explore Christchurch and marvel at its fascinating cardboard cathedral. Later, visit Lake Tekapo and embark on an interactive journey into the world of Maori astronomy.
Day 3 Omarama to Dunedin
Continue to Dunedin and enjoy an afternoon at leisure.
Day 4 Dunedin to Te Anau
After a relaxing morning, head across Otago’s farming region en route to Te Anau.
Day 5 Te Anau to Queenstown
The stunning Milford Sound awaits. Cruise this natural wonder with waterfalls and picture-perfect Mitre Peak. Continue past numerous wonderful vistas to Queenstown.
Day 6 Queenstown
Explore Queenstown at leisure before an evening cruise on New Zealand’s oldest steamship to Walter Peak Station.
Day 7 Queenstown to Franz Josef
Travel past Lake Dunstan, Hawea and Wanaka and over the Haast Pass en route to the majestic Franz Josef Glacier.
Day 8 Franz Josef to Christchurch
Visit coastal Hokitika and watch a jewellery demonstration, before travelling to Arthur’s Pass to board the TranzAlpine train for one of the world’s most scenic rail journeys. Tonight, enjoy a farewell dinner with your fellow travellers.
Day 9 Christchurch
Your tour finishes after a leisurely breakfast.
